Sod Installation in Suffolk VA

Most residential sod installations in Suffolk take one to three days depending on yard size and how much soil preparation is needed. The critical step is proper grading and soil amendment before laying sod. Keep traffic off for the first two weeks beyond what watering requires. Test rooting at two to three weeks by lifting a corner: if it resists, it has knitted in. First mow usually falls between two and four weeks, with the mower set high and the blade sharp, removing no more than a third of the blade. Let the surface dry enough that the mower does not rut it.
